As Fendi releases a monogrammed capsule collection with Net-a-Porter, here’s how the Vogue editors will be wearing their favourite pieces
Monogram mania shows no sign of waning – and now that Fendihas teamed up with Net-a-Porter to release an exclusive capsule collection featuring their iconic FF logo, there’s even more reason to get on board. From incorporating beachwear to supermarket-friendly accessories; embracing power-dressing to double denim, we reveal how we’ll be wearing ours – but no matter what we’re teaming it with, the shared sentiment appears to be: more is more.
The 37-piece capsule launches on Net-a-Porter as an exclusive worldwide preview from April 13th for one month before being available in selected Fendi stores and online from May 14th until the end of the year.
Now that the weather is finally cheering up, my daily uniform has become a blazer, denim and a statement boot. The sculptural hourglass silhouette of this Balenciaga blazer is exquisite and complements the shape of the Margiela cowboy boots. The bucket bag is the perfect everyday addition to complete the look.
I’m a sucker for a calf-grazing pleated skirt and a pop of pattern so this skirt from the Fendi x NAP collection is perfect for me. I’d pair it with Jaquemus’s update on the black blazer, a tall Alaia boot (timeless!), a black leather bag (big enough for all my gadgets!) and some graphic Tiffany & Co. gold earrings.
I’d wear an oversize denim jacket and cool boyfriend jeans with the Fendi logo pieces… pare it down and keep it simple – the logos are statements in themselves!
This slick monochrome Fendi logo shirt is a 2-in-one for me. Part office, part beach, I’d team it with monochrome – a Solid and Striped bikini and my new favourite Off-White shades have a chilled simplicity that make that logo pop. I’m storing the raffia beach bag this summer, Burberry’s new splash resistant plastic shoulder bags are the ones right now, mainly because they remind me of the little plastic swim rucksacks I used to carry as a child, however the dolphin logo has now morphed into a Burberry check. Go figure.
There are few handbags styles I love as much as the Peekaboo, and few logos as much as the FF, so I am particularly delighted by this example which comes with a black leather outer and monochrome, monogrammed interior. I’ll be wearing mine with a floor-length The Row blazer for maximum executive realness, big gold hoops from Alighieri and the perfect beige skirt from Céline. The contemporary version of power dressing: perfect.
I never thought I’d go for brown as an essential constituent of my spring look, however, a season of watching louche brown blazers and kicky Seventies trousers parading up and down catwalks to surprisingly insouciant effect has clearly infiltrated my subconscious and now imitating Mary Tyler Moore is top of my to-do list.
With the Winter months dragging ever onwards – for me, it’s about those Sunday outings to the shops for milk. But not much else. I could imagine no better way than passing through a Nisa local in my head-to-toe Fendi Pyjamas, sliders and perhaps some kind of hard wearing anorak thrown over for good measure ( and obviously damp protection ) I love the outerwear from GMBH for Autumn/Winter and the Leather Balenciaga tote could just about manage all my provisions.
